‘This Cambridge Life’ – Rachel

8 May 2017 | Rachel |

I’m Rachel, and used to be the Downing JCR Access Officer for 2016-2017. I was recently interviewed for a series called This Cambridge Life, which profiles people from across the university, from students to staff to researchers. It was such a privilege to share my experiences of my journey to Downing and Cambridge from a state comprehensive school in North London, and to share what I’ve been up to since I’ve been here, including my access work. It’s shaping up to be a really good series, and I’m very grateful to be featured among so many interesting people from across the university. I hope you enjoy my interview and hearing a bit more about my Cambridge life!

Hi, I'm Rachel! I'm a third year geographer and I went to a state comprehensive school in northwest London, and I now live in Hertfordshire. I studied Geography, English Literature and Japanese at A Level. In my free time I enjoy foreign language music and films, learning other languages, going to the gym and (trying to) dance!
