Want to experience a taste of undergraduate life at Cambridge? If you’re a Year 12 student at a state school in Cornwall, Devon or Dorset, why not apply for the South West Residential?

The South West Residential is an annual visit, taking place on Tuesday 25th-Thursday 27th June 2019 aimed at high-achieving Year 12 students from state schools in Cornwall, Devon, and Dorset who want to find out more about life at Cambridge as an undergraduate! All accommodation, meals and activities are provided free of charge, and Downing also reimburses travel expenses up to £150, when tickets are purchased using a 16-25 railcard.

Attending students mnay the opportunity to:

  • participate in academic taster sessions such as supervisions and lectures;
  • meet with Directors of Studies, Admissions Tutors and current undergraduates;
  • learn more about the admissions and interview processes;
  • explore the city of Cambridge, other Colleges, and University departments;
  • network with other young people from across the South West considering making a Cambridge application
